In collaboration with musician Daniel Arthur Johnson, this piece is inspired by ideas written and danced by legendary Butoh artist Kazuo Ohno. Part play, part banjo recital, part Butoh, part burial, we look at the resonance of sound and collapse as it is created and destroyed by characters from a dream world.
"As human beings, we don't grow while on the move, but during those dreams we inhabit as we stop and rest for a while. Isn't it at such times that our souls evolve?" - Kazuo Ohno
Choreographed and danced by Madelyn Sher
